RPEQ certification

RPEQ is the Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland designation under the Professional Engineers Act 2002. Only an RPEQ can carry out or directly supervise professional engineering services in Queensland, and only an RPEQ can certify the related documents.

A Form 15 (design compliance) and Form 16 (inspection or aspect certificate) are completed by a competent person for the relevant aspect under the Building Act 1975 (Qld). For engineering aspects that competent person is an RPEQ, which is the role Anthony Earl fills.

Form 15 certifies that a design complies with the relevant standards. Form 16 certifies inspection — that the work was built in accordance with the design and requirements. Both are used in the Queensland building approval process.

Yes. Independent peer review is a second RPEQ set of eyes on third-party design before it goes to tender or construction, with comments referenced to the relevant standard.

The drawings (PDF or DWG), any calculations, the site address and the authority the documents are going to. We return a fixed fee and turnaround within one business day.

You get a fixed fee and turnaround commitment within one business day. Most straightforward reviews are returned within a few business days; larger multi-discipline packages are scoped individually, and any deadline you're working to is factored in.

Structural, civil and hydraulic engineering drawings and designs within Anthony's registered areas of competence. If a package needs a discipline outside that scope, we'll tell you and can bring in the right RPEQ.

Pool fencing

Usually within the week across Brisbane and Moreton Bay. You get a written fix list the same day as the inspection, and we book the re-inspection once the work is done.

In Queensland a Form 23 pool safety certificate is required to sell or lease a property with a pool, and it can only be issued by a licensed pool safety inspector. Our inspection and compliance assessment tells you exactly what to fix so the barrier will pass — a sound first step before certification.

Pool barriers in Queensland are assessed against AS 1926.1 and the Queensland Development Code pool safety provisions — covering the non-climbable zone, effective height, gap limits and self-closing, self-latching gates.

The non-climbable zone — objects within 900mm inside or 300mm outside the barrier that a child could use to climb, like pots, taps, trees and furniture. Gate self-closing and latch height are close behind.

Yes. Glass panels, aluminium fencing, and retaining walls or buildings acting as part of the barrier are all assessed, including footings and fixings.

Project management

A superintendent administers the construction contract on the principal's behalf — assessing claims and variations, issuing instructions, certifying progress and practical completion, and holding the programme and quality to the contract.

Yes. Contract administration, claims, variations and certification under common Australian standard contracts, with the engineering certified by the same RPEQ.

The focus is local Brisbane projects where one senior engineer across the whole job adds the most value. If it's outside that, we'll say so.

Fees & service area

No. Certification and inspection work is quoted as a fixed fee. Project management is scoped and priced to the job.

Within one business day. Send the drawings or the inspection details and you'll have a fixed fee and turnaround back from Anthony directly.

Certification and peer review can be done anywhere in Queensland. Site inspections and project management are focused on Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan and the Sunshine Coast.

Attach them to the quote form in PDF or DWG (up to 25MB), or email admin@aceprojectsqld.com.au. Include the site address and the authority the documents are going to.
